behaviour update

monday 30th march 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

As I write this follow up to last week’s behavior update, the school is calm, all children are in class happy and learning. This should be the norm, however recently it is not.

We felt it would be useful to explain in more depth some of the difficulties we are facing.

Increasingly we are seeing a small but significant number of children who struggle to follow simple instructions, are rude to staff, are unable to accept consequences and in some cases hurt other children and adults. This not only affects learning, but also causes significant stress for other children and adults, and on a regular basis stops myself and other school leaders doing their jobs. This behavior is often worse on a Monday morning, when children are often tired and struggle to fit back into routines.
