Behaviour

Here at CTK, we're proud that the behaviour of our pupils is generally great and we regularly have visitors commenting on how calm and positive the environment is.

Unfortunately, there are occassions where we have to deal with challenging behaviour, and we do this following our behaviour policy, working together with parents to resolve any issues.

As is expected, children will go home and discuss the day's events with their parents and in turn this often turns into conversations between parents on the gates and rumours travelling through the grapevine.

We would like to assure parents that behaviour and the safety of all of our children is the utmost priority; should you have any concerns, we would like to ask that you communicate these with us as apposed to other parents, or on social media, so we can work out any problems as they arise.

With this in mind, please can we also remind parents to speak with their children about telling an adult if there as been an issue during the school day. We are unable to deal with issues if we are unaware of them happening and would strongly discourage parents trying to resolve in-school problems between themselves.

Dogs

Please can we remind parents and carers that dogs are not allowed on school site.

We understand that it can be nice to bring your dog along for a walk on the school run, but please be aware that even if your dog is not being brought onto school grounds, lively or loud dogs outside the school date can be distressing to some children.

We have recently had reports of dogs jumping up at children or becoming aggressive whilst outside the school gates so we would like to politely ask parents to be vigilant if bringing their dogs to school and where possible, keep them on a short lead to avoid incidents of this nature.

Breakfast Club

As you know we currently have a Breakfast Club that runs every day from 8am.

Our Breakfast Club is open to all pupils, from Nursery - Y6 and is a great way for children to start the day.

As well as a healthy breakfast, we offer a wide range of activities for children to choose from...

We would love more children to start the day with us, so will be offering free sessions to classes over the coming weeks.

Next Friday (24th January), we would like to invite Year 1  children to join us for a free taster session. There is no need to book these free sessions, children are welcome to just turn up, provided they arrive before 8.20am when the doors will close.

We look forward to seeing lots of families using these sessions, and hopefully attending Breakfast Club more regularly.
