In Geography at School of Christ the King children learn:

Vocabulary and knowledge of the world and its workings.
How to link up known places into a coherent mental map.
Children build on prior knowledge in each year and each area of learning.
Though experience, learning in different environments.

blaise castle visit

Year 4 visited Blaise Hamlet and the surrounding area as part of their ‘Settlements and Landuse’ Geography topic. They had an absolutely brilliant time exploring the Hamlet, Blaise Folly, Hazel Brook and more.

Grace wrote a poem based on some of our Geography learning and it has been selected for the Ablaze poetry book.

Year 6 had a fantastic trip to London on Wednesday - they saw all the main attractions and even had the chance to see the changing of the guard.
