Dear Parents and Carers of children in Year 6,
As many of you will be aware, many children went home yesterday reporting a very concerning incident. No child in school reported this yesterday, but we very much appreciate those parents who did yesterday evening and this morning.
After a quick investigation it was confirmed that a dangerous object was brought into school, although thankfully nobody was harmed.
We have taken immediate action today ensuring that all children feel safe and secure in school. Consequences of this situation will be ongoing today, all of next week and throughout the school year.
We will also be talking to children in Year 6 to further understand why they did not inform adults and potentially giving them more strategies to share such concern, quickly, to avoid harm or risk of harm. Please, as parents can you also support us by reminding your children to talk to us in school and also to you at home.
Yours sincerely
Matt Condon
