Anti-Social Behaviour

A few weeks ago, we had to put a notice out to parents regarding the expectations around behaviour from parents whilst on school grounds.

Whilst it was dissapointing that there was a need to send this notice, we would like to say a big thank you to our parents, carers and family members for their overwhelming support following this issue.

We work hard at CTK to provide a safe and calm environment for our pupils, staff and visitors and it makes us really pleased to know that parents support us in making our school a positive place for everyone to be.

We hope going forward that we will not need to address any further situations like this. Thank you again for your support and on-going cooperation.

The Jubilee - Pilgrims of Hope

The Holy Father has decided that 2025 will be a year of Jubilee, something which happens every 25 years.

The theme is “Pilgrims of Hope”, and is a year of hope for a world suffering the impacts of war, the ongoing effects of COVID-19 pandemic, and a climate crisis.

At School of Christ the King, we are launching the Year of Jubilee with Doors of Hope. Each door that is opened, gives an opportunity for hope.

More information on the Catholic Life of our school, can be found on the 'Faith' area of our website.

attendance

Punctuality

Please can we politely remind parents and carers that the school day begins at 8.50am and all children should be in by this time.

We open the doors to school at 8.40am to give children plenty of time to come in and be ready to head to Registration, however we have recently had a number of children arriving once the door have been closed.

Children arriving after this will recieve late mark and those who arrive after 9.20am will recieve an unauthorise mark for the morning session.

Not only will lateness have a negative effect on their attendance, it can also impact their learning as they are often missing important information about the day's lessons.

Breakfast Club is available to all pupils from 8.00am (charged at £1 per day for children R-Y6 and £3 for Nursery) and is a great way to ensure children are in school  on time, and ready for the school day.

Early Collections

If you need to collect your child before the end of the school day, this MUST be arranged prior to collection.

You will also be asked for evidence of any appointments - without providing this, the absence will be marked as unauthorised which will effect your child's overall attendance.
