We have had another wonderful year at School of Christ the King, and it has been a pleasure teaching and growing with each and every one of our pupils.
This year the children have had the opportunity to take part in lots of exciting experiences - from our camps for years 3, 4, 5 and 6 in September to our many musical and sporting events, it certainly has been a jam packed year!
As well as our off site visits, we've seen some fantastic learning within school, and for a year that has been so full of change, it has been incredible to see how resilient all of our children have been. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them for their achievements and the progress they've made.
We would like to say a big thank you to all of our families and members of the community who have continued to support us this year, we look forward to building these relationships further into next academic year.
Please enjoy our CTK Highlights 25/26 as we wish you a happy and safe summer break...
After 11 years as part of the CTK family, today we said our final goodbyes to Mr Prichard.
After joining us in 2015, Mr Prichard has gone on to become not only our Assistant Head Teacher, but one of our most beloved teachers, colleagues and friends.
As well as growing professionally, from Newly Qualified Teacher to Inspirational Deputy Head - he has also grown personally; becoming both a husband and a father during his time with us! He really has lived a whole life here at CTK and we've been so proud to watch him become the dedicated educator he is.
He is off now, to take on a new challenge as the Deputy Head Teacher at the Manor Primary in South Gloucestershire. A well deserved promotion! We hope you will join us in wishing him the very best for his new adventure, and thanking him for all he has given to the children, staff and community of CTK.
Today we have also said goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 class as they embark on their journey into secondary school.
It has been a pleasure to have them, and watch them grow into the brilliant young people they are.
We are incredibly proud of them and all of the successes they have had as part of the CTK family. We wish them the very best of luck for their next adventures.

Medication
All medication that is kept in school will have been sent home with your child today. If children need to continue taking medication in September, please ensure they bring it back to school with them on the first day back.
Dropping off/Picking Up
Please remember that as your child changes year group, their entrance/exit may have changed. Children in Reception, Year 1, Year 2 & Year 6 should enter and exit through the main reception doors. Children in Years 3, 4 & 5 should come and go through the back car park gates.
Please can we also remind parents and carers that they should not be entering the car park area before 8.30am - this is a high traffic area until this time.
Lateness
The school day begins at 8.40am and children should be in school before the doors close at 8.50am.
Please be aware, that from September, unless we are informed that your child will be late for a specific reason, they will automatically be booked in for a school meal and will not get the full choice of lunch menu. School dinner numbers need to be with the school kitchen by 9.30am and lateness not only has an impact on their own learning, but also has an effect on the running of the school office and kitchen.
Late Collection Charges
Collecting children is the responsibility of parents/carers. Due to the impact late collection has on staff, school reserve the right to start to charge when children are not collected at the end of the school day.
Please be reminded of our charging policy for late collections:
If a child is collected less than 10 mins late (between 3.20pm - 3.30pm) more than 3 times within a two week period, a £5.00 charge will be applied.
Where a child is collected later than 10 minutes after the end of the school day (3.30pm onwards) - parents will be charged for a session of Mini Chill (the child will not attend Mini Chill, but will be supervised elsewhere) at a cost of £2.00 per child.
Where a child is collected after 4.00pm or later than 10 minutes after the end of a Mini Chill Session – parents will be charged for a Full Chill Time Klub session at a cost of £3.50 per child.
Where a child is collected later than 10 minutes after the end of a Full Chill Time Klub session – a charge of £5.00 will be applied.
Where there are repeated late collections then charges may be increased by 50%.
These charges will be added to After School Club accounts and will be payable through the Arbor App.
Further club bookings will not be able to be made until all charges have been paid.
Uniform Reminders
As we head into the new school year, please can we politely remind parents and carers about the expectations around school uniform.
We have had a number of children coming in to school wearing various levels of non-uniform recently, and as a result you may have received a text message from us to let you know.
Correct uniform also extends to school PE kit and it's important that children are wearing the correct kit on their PE Day.
We would also like to politely ask that whilst skirts an shorts are a part of our uniform, please can we make sure that they are of an appropraite length.
If there is a specific reason that your child is not wearing uniform, it's important that you let us know - we may be able to offer support with this.
YOU CAN NOW ORDER YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL UNIFORM ONLINE, DIRECT FROM OUR SUPPLIER AT southwestcp.co.uk
