Father's Day 2026
We will be making Father's Day cards in school this week - children can make cards for their fathers or any other special person who cares for them. If this is a sensitive topic for your family/children and would prefer them to not take part, or bring cards home at the end of the week, please contact the school office.
⚽England vs Croatia: Late School Opening (Thursday 18 June)⚽
To support our community and allow families to enjoy the England vs Croatia World Cup match on Wednesday night, we are adjusting our school timings the following morning.
The school doors will open at 8.40am so those wishing to come in as normal can do so; however if your child needs a lie in following the late match, they can arrive at any time up until 10.30am without it affecting their attendance.
Please be aware that children arriving after 10.30am will receive a late mark.
Breakfast Club
Please can we politely remind parents and carers that the doors to Breakfast Club close at 8.20am and this is when food service stops. If children arrive after this time, there will not be breakfast available to them. Children will still be welcomed in and have the opportunity to socialise with friends before the start of the school day, but they will not be provided with a meal.
Thank you for your on-going cooperation with this matter.
Measles Advice
Following the tragic dealth of two children in England following complications of Measles, the UK Health Security Agency have issued the following letter of advice for parents...
Late Arrivals
Please be aware than the school day starts at 8.50am and any children arriving late will need to be signed in at the school office.
Any children arriving after 9.30am, will receive an unauthorised absence mark for the morning session, and parents should be aware that multiple instances of arriving this late can lead to a penalty notice (fine)
It's also important to remember that all school meals need to be booked by 9.30am, so any children arriving after this time will not benefit from the full school menu. Unless previously booked, children will automatically be booked in for a Jacket Potato.
If you know that your child is going to be late to school for any reason, please contact the school office to make us aware.
Headlice
Please be aware we have had reports of headlice in some classes across the school.
If you notice that your child has head lice, please treat accordingly to avoid them spreading.
Whilst head lice are not dangerous, they can cause serious itching which can be a distraction and are not very pleasant.
