Upcoming Changes to After School Clubs
Please be aware we have some upcoming changes to our After School Club provision due to staff training:
Monday 16th & Tuesday 17th June 2025 - NO CHILL TIME KLUB
All children must be collected at the usual time of 3.20pm
Ball Skills and Gardening Club will continue to run on Tuesday 17th, however all children must be collected at 4pm.
Parking
We would once again like to remind parents about the importance of parking both respectfully and legally at drop of and pick up times.
On a number of occasions, we have requested parents do not park on the zig-zag lines. Unfortunately, this is still an issue. Zig-zag lines are in place to ensure that our pupils are kept safe and should you be caught parking illegally, your details may be passed to our local police team.
It is also unfortunate to report that we have recently had complaints from local residents, regarding the blocking of driveways and access to housing.
Blocking driveways and dropped kerbs is also a parking offence, so as above, if you are seen to be persistently parking in this manner, your details may be passed on to issue a parking fine.
There is ample parking on Filwood Broadway, and in other places around the community, that parents can utilise and then walk into school with children.
Please support us, and the safety of all of our children, by parking both legally and respectfully going forward.
Safeguarding Team
Following recent changes to our staff team, we would like to share some updates with you...
Within her new role as Deputy Head, Mrs Jordan will be taking responsibility for safeguarding at CTK, working alongside Mr Condon and Mrs Selway

This week has been a whirlwind of emotion. The children started with lots of energy, and quickly settled back into routine.
The nursery was moved around slightly over the half term, and the children have adapted well to the new layout.
All week they have been exploring art in many forms. They have been using paintbrushes, spray bottles and their fingers/ hands too. They also used paint, sand, water, ice and pens to create lots of unique pieces of art. Each day they had different options available to explore through their own means, and gave the adults many new perspectives to approach the activities too.
For RE, the children learnt about the Story of Peter meeting Jesus and have created an incredible display above our Prayer Table to remind themselves and show off their learning to everyone who enters our nursery.Their imaginations and creativity was shown within their fish and other sea creature designs.
To end this week, the children have also learned about Noah's Ark and how we use kind hands, kind words and kind feet. The children use Makaton to sign 'we are all friends' and have been helping each other lots in nursery when someone is hurt, sad or finding something tricky. Their use of sign in speech, songs and general conversation has greatly improved over the last term and it's wonderful to see everyone communicating more fluently with each other.
We hope you have a restful weekend,
Miss Dale and the Nursery Team
