Moving On, Moving Up...
After 11 years at CTK, we are sad to announce that Mr Prichard will be leaving us at the end of the school year...
Whilst we are incredibly sad to be saying goodbye, we would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Mr Prichard, as he is leaving us to become Deputy Head at The Manor Primary School in South Gloucestershire - a well earned step up in his dedicated teaching career.
This is a great loss to both our children and staff, but we we hope you will join us in wishing him the best of luck for his new role.
Year 6 - Pitch-Perfect Preparations
In 3 weeks time, our Year 6 pupils will have their first official leavers event, and this week they have started official preparation...
On Wednesday, the children were joined by Alex Robinson who is the Choral Director at Clifton Diocese to practise hymns ready for their Leavers' Mass at Clifton Cathedral later this month.
Our Year 6's are one of 4 schools, from primary schools across the city, that have been selected to sing as part of the choir for this special mass, so this is a real honour for them!
Year 3/4 Camp - September 2026
If your child is currently in Year 2 or 3, you will know that we have planned a residential camp for them at the beginning of the next school year.
If you have not yet returned your reply slip, please do so as soon as possible (it's important that you return your slip even if your child will not be attending)
If you have any questions or concerns about camp, including any worries you may have about payment, please do not hesitate to speak with Mrs Selway who will be happy to support you.
Be Prepared...
Please can we politely remind parents that there are cetain things that children should be bringing to school with them every day:
Water bottles - it's important that children have access to water throughout the day, and whilst we can provide children with a drink if necessary it's far less disruptive to class time if children are bringing their own, named bottle each day. Children are able to refill their bottles during the day if they need to.
Book Bags/Reading Records - children should be bringing their book bags, reading books and reading records in every day so that staff can keep track of their progress and change books.
Coats - We know the weather has been very changeable recently, but please can parents ensure that children are bringing an appropraite coat with them - even if the day starts sunny!
It has been a wonderful first week back with the class, they have settled back into routine well and are making really good choices with sharing, using kind words and looking out for each other.
We do not have a lot to say this week as the children are working together on a secret project. They have been doing lots of thinking, crafting and exploring with the help of Dr Seuss stories. We will show you their finished piece in next weeks newsletter.
We hope you have a restful weekend,
Miss Dale and the Nursery Team
If your child has received a Head Teachers award this week, you are welcome to join us for Celebration Assesmbly on Monday to help them celebrate as they are awarded their certificate. Please arrive at school at 2.40pm ready for assembly to start at 2.45pm
