The response was overwhelmingly positive and we would like to thank parents and carers for working with us to create such a wonderful school community for our children.

Lenten Fundraising
A big big thank you to everyone who sent their children in with spare change for the Penny Trail this morning!
The children had a fantastic time laying the trail around the school playground - it wasn't as much fun picking it up again!
Our fundraising continues next week...
Girls Football
Week two of girls football saw improved results - two wins and three draws meant the girls were unbeaten, and they even rotated the goalkeeper each game!

Starting off strong this week, we celebrated St Patrick's Day!
The children got super involved with lots of crafts from printing with peppers to copying rainbows. They had lots of fun looking for our cheeky leprechaun, who kept playing lots of tricks in the nursery.
He put glitter in the water tray, tied blankets to fences, threw money around and even trapped Mr Condon in his office!
Tuesday saw the children learning about Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey. The children took part in an active story, which was a lot of fun! They lined up and listened to instruction to lay their 'coats' (high-vis jackets) for Jesus to walk across. Afterwards, some of the children helped by crafting palm leaves by cutting around lots of their hand templates and gluing them all together.
Wednesday brought lots of sun, so our PE lesson took us to the big playground. They first followed the lines and movement instructions around the playground, and they did so well, that they were rewarded with playing on the grass and equipment before going inside for toast and Bluey. It was a high energy day with lots of outside play in the warm sun.
Thursday brought some fantastic chick crafts by all the children, following from their learning about different baby animals. Their determination when they find things tricky, and offers to help each other is wonderful. They have certainly come a long way as a class and their kindness towards everyone is lovely.
Following their learning about spring changes, and our current story of 'Hello Spring', the children went on a spring walk and collected lots of bits of fresh grass, flowers and other spring signs. They stuck it all to a broom handle that was wrapped with tape. The handle was used to make a story of their spring walk, and it was fantastic to have a lesson in the sun!

Punctuality
Whilst lateness has greatly improved over the last few weeks, we still have a handful of families arriving after the beginning of the school day.
Please can we politely remind parents and carers that the school day begins at 8.50am and all children should be in by this time.
We open the doors to school at 8.40am to give children plenty of time to come in and be ready to head to Registration, however we have recently had a number of children arriving once the door have been closed.
Children arriving after this will recieve late mark and those who arrive after 9.20am will recieve an unauthorised mark for the morning session.
Not only will lateness have a negative effect on their attendance, it can also impact their learning as they are often missing important information about the day's lessons.
Breakfast Club is available to all pupils from 8.00am (charged at £1 per day for children R-Y6 and £3 for Nursery) and is a great way to ensure children are in school on time, and ready for the school day.
