Year 3 had a brilliant time visiting the National Roman Legion Museum in Caerleon this week. They were able to see the remains of a Roman bath, explore an amphitheatre to find out about gladiators, as well as examine a range of Roman artefacts in the museum's collection. A highlight of the day was the opportunity for the class to become Roman soldiers and find out about what life was like, as well as practise different battle formations. They passed the test and were all accepted into the Roman army! Well done to all the children for setting a fantastic example and approaching the day with enthusiasm and curiosity.
Year 3 had an amazing time at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery experiencing VR.
What a fantastic way of learning about Stone Age cave art!
Year 2 visited the SS Great Britain to learn about the life of Brunel and explore the famous ship.
