Parents' Evening
A big thank you to all of the families that attended our first parents' evening yesterday. It was wonderful to see so many of you.
Thank you also to those parents that took the time to complete our Parent View Questionnaire, we've had some really positive feedback so far, and it's so helpful to hear from you about how we can further support our families and community.
If you didn't manage to make it yesterday, there are still appointments available for next Tuesday 20th October, so please speak to Miss Morse to book in!
Club Changes
There are a number of upcoming changes to after school clubs next week...
There will be NO BALL SKILLS on Tuesday 20th October due to Parents' Evening
Friday 23rd October is the last day of Term 1 - there will be no clubs running on this day, including Chill Time Klub.
Today is the final session of Archery for Term 1. If your child has been attending this term it does not automatically guarantee them a space for next term. Spaces are limited and children who have not had a chance to attend yet will be prioritised. Please speak to Miss Morse if your child would like to sign up.
Head Lice
We have had reports of head lice from a number of different classes across the school.
Please be reminded that whilst head lice can cause discomfort, they are not a reason to keep your child off school.
Electric Scooters
Please can we politely remind parents and carers that privately owned Electric Scooters are illegal for road/pavement use and they should not be ridden onto school site during drop off/pick up times.
If you do collect your child from school on a bike or a scooter, please dismount before entering the school site; they should not be ridden into the school car park under any circumstances.
Thank you for your co-operation with this.
A big well done to Year 6 who are the only class to make it onto the Attendance Leader Board this week!
We understand that attendance being lower than usual sometimes can't be helped, especially at this time of year when there are lots of seasoning illnesses around.
We do however encourage your child to come to school if their symptoms are only minor. We have children's Calpol, ibuprofen and Piriton available should children feel a little unwell, and will always contact parents and carers if there is a cause for concern.
If you're unsure about whether or not to send your child in, here's a helpful guide...
If your child has received a Head Teachers award this week, you are welcome to join us for Celebration Assembly on Monday to help them celebrate as they are awarded their certificate. Please arrive at school at 2.40pm ready for assembly to start at 2.45pm
As well as Headteachers awards, and rewardS in class, children at CTK can also earn 'leaves' for demonstrating our Gospel Values outside of the classroom. These leaves are added to the Tree in our foyer, which grows more and more throughout the school year...
The Wednesday Word
The Wednesday Word is a special publication created to connect home, school and parish.
Every Wednesday a ‘word’, inspired by the coming Sunday’s Gospel, will be suggested for families to talk about in the home. The Wednesday Word is structured around the Sunday Gospel, because evidence shows that Gospel values really do help family relationships to thrive.
Ten:Ten Faith Newsletter - October
The Ten:Ten monthly parent newsletter gives you an overview of the content children will experience in school throughout the month and suggestions of ways for you to engage with them about it at home.
