Lenten Fundraising
It's that time of year again when we begin our fundraising for Lent.
This year we will be raising money for the Emmaus Water Project and local charities. We will kick things off on Thursday 6th March as part of our World Book Day celebrations.
We will then be running a different activity every Friday until the end of Term:
Friday 14th March - Break the Rules Day
Children have the chance to break some of our school rules!! More details to follow!
Friday 21st March - Penny Trail
We will be asking pupils to bring in loose change in order to create a huge penny trail around the school playground.
Friday 28th - Film Afternoon
4th April - Easter Egg Raffle
Upcoming Club Changes
Due to Parents' Evening, the following clubs will be cancelled:
Monday 10th March - Choir Club
Tuesday 11th March - Choir Club
Chill Time Klub will continue to run on both days and Ball Skills will still run on Tuesday 11th.
Homework
Please can we ask parents to ensure that children are completing and returning any homework set.
For most classes, homework is set once a week however many teachers are finding that this is not being completed.
Homework is set to support in-class learning, and to help teachers to see if there are any gaps in children's learning that they may need further assistance with. If the work set is not completed, children may be missing out on support they need.
If you have any questions or concerns around homework - please do not hesitate to discuss this with your child's teacher at our upcoming Parents' Evening.
