Year 6 London Visit
On Wednesday, our Year 6 class visited London to explore the tourist hotspots and undertake some Geography fieldwork.
Despite some very chilly weather, and some very tired legs, everyone had a fantastic day.
Well done to all of Year 6 on your brilliant behaviour and being such excellent ambassadors of our school in the big city and thank you to our wonderful staff for making the day so special for them.
Chaplaincy Commissioning
On Thursday, our Chaplaincy Team attended a special service at Clifton Cathedral to recieve their chaplaincy badges from Bishop Bosco.
Chaplaincy is an important aspect of the faith life of the school and the team are looking forward to promoting our gospel values around the school and community.
Reception Class Admissions - September 2026
If you, or someone you know, has a child that was born between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022, it's now time to apply for your Reception Class place.
We will be holding a number of open events to give parents and carers the opportunity to visit our fantastic Reception Class, so please contact the school office to book a place!
Parent View
During our Parents' Evenings last term, we asked parents to complete our annual 'Parent View Questionnaire' and we must say, the positive responses are overwhelming and we can't thank you enough for your wonderful feedback!
To view the results of the questionnaire - visit the 'Feedback' section of our website here.
We did receive one comment from a named parent about an older child not being listened to about bullying. This concern was followed up as part of parents evening and it was established that staff had not been informed of this issue previously. Following this conversion the concern was addressed. We have kept the comments in our evaluation as we will always be fully transparent.
We would like to ask that parents remind their children to speak to the adults in school if they are having any problems at all. Especially those around bullying or feeling unsafe.
The Wednesday Word
The Wednesday Word is a special publication created to connect home, school and parish.
Every Wednesday a ‘word’, inspired by the coming Sunday’s Gospel, will be suggested for families to talk about in the home. The Wednesday Word is structured around the Sunday Gospel, because evidence shows that Gospel values really do help family relationships to thrive.
Ten:Ten Faith Newsletter - November
The Ten:Ten monthly parent newsletter gives you an overview of the content children will experience in school throughout the month and suggestions of ways for you to engage with them about it at home.
If your child has received a Head Teachers award this week, you are welcome to join us for Celebration Assesmbly on Monday to help them celebrate as they are awarded their certificate. Please arrive at school at 2.40pm ready for assembly to start at 2.45pm

Attendance Champions
BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Year 2 who have achieved 99% attendance for the second week in a row!!
As a reward for their excellent attendance, they have earned another non-uniform day which will take place on Friday 5th December.
Remember, all classes have the opportunity to earn themselves a non-uniform day - all they need to do is be in school on time, every day!
Absences for Illness
As is usual for this time of year, with the cold weather comes germs and we understand that sometimes children are too ill to attend school.
However we recommend looking at the following guidance if you are unsure about whether your child is well enough to come in: Should I keep my child off school?
Please be reminded that school always has a stock of Calpol, and can administer medication to pupils should they feel a little under the weather. Minor colds and coughs are normal childhood illnesses and should not be reasons to keep children away from school.
Please also be reminded that whilst children are welcome at school with minor illnesses, we cannot have them in school if they have suffered sickness or diarrhoea. Children should stay off of school and not return until there has been 48 hours since the last episode of illness.
There may be circumstances that we ask for medical evidence in order for us to authorise your child's absence - this may happen if the absence is for an extended period of time, or if there is a pattern of repeated illness, or if their attendance is below 92% due to other absences. If medical evidence is not provided, this may be recorded as an unauthorised absence which may result in a penalty notice (fine)
