Ongoing Internet Issues
Everyone will be aware by now that we have been having some issues with our internet connection and phone lines at school.
This is due to an issue within Bristol City Council and is affecting many schools across the city.
We are still not sure how long these issues are likely to continue, but have put in some temporary measures to enable us to continue to communicate with families.
The office has some internet access, and is able to access emails, and parents can also call or text the school mobile - 07796 031 912
Thank you to everyone for their ongoing support and patience with this.
Girls Football Festival
On Monday, some of our Year 6 girls took part in a football festival at Imperial Sports Ground where they joined girls from other schools across the city for a morning of 5-a-side tournaments.
All of the girls did a fantastic job representing CTK, and some of them played so well that they've been invited back for a trial day, with the possibility of being chosen to join a regional team!
We look forward to sharing more news about this soon! Well done girls!
Ukelele Lessons
This week, Year 3 were joined by Sam from Bristol Beacon for the first of their ukelele lessons.
The class had a great time getting to grips with the instruments and learning a few basic chords
The children will be having lessons every week right up until Christmas, and we look forward to being able to invite parents in to see them perform the songs they have learned.
The Big Future Survey
The Big Future Survey has been created by the Children's Commissioner to gather information directly from children about what they would like for their futures; from their communities, their hopes, their concerns.
We would love as many children as possible to take part in the survey, and have already completed it with some of the children in their classes, but we'd love parents to get involved and support them with completing the survey at home.
Raising Concerns
Incidents that happen within the classroom or on the playground are most often dealt with by the children's own class teachers. This means that should children bring these incidents or issues home, their class teachers are usually the most appropraite person to talk to should you have any concerns or questions.
Please can we remind parents that should they have a concern regarding something that has happened within the school day, it's important that these concerns be addressed with their child's class teacher, or cover class teacher, in the first instance.
Thank you for your ongoing support with this matter.

Earlier this week we sent out information about this year's Flu Vaccinations.
