Anti-Bullying Ambassadors
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our new CTK Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.
Our team of amabassadors will be working to put together guidance to support children with bullying concerns.
School Photographs
Our school photographer will be in school on Tuesday 3rd October to take individual pupil photographs and sibling photographs.
Parents' Evening
Parents’ Evening will be held on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th October from 3:30pm - 5:50pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to hear how well your child is getting on at school. Please contact the school office to book your appointment. If you book an appointment but are then unable to attend, please contact us to rearrange.
Music Lessons
We are looking into the possibility of offering music instrument lessons in school and wondered if there was an appetite for a particular instrument?
There are some schemes available that offer small group lessons for as little as £77 for a double term (£7 per week) so if your child is interested in learning an instrument, please let us know and we can look into making these experiences available
Reception Class Open Sessions
School admissions are now open for applications for Reception Class September 2024. If your child was born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 and you are looking for a Reception Class space, we will be hosting a number of open sessions for parents and carers to come and visit our fantastic Early Years class.
We also have a number of spaces available in our current Reception Class so if you, or someone you know, is looking for a school place, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Positive Handling at school
The safety of pupils at school is our greatest priority, and as such our staff are trained appropriately to deal with behaviour situations that may arise and cause concern.
Staff at CTK receive Team Teach training, which is a behavioural framework with an emphasis on safety for all. It supports staff to understand what is potentially causing behaviours of concern, and what environmental changes, non-verbal and verbal strategies should be used to de-escalate situations first, before possible restrictive physical interventions are applied.
The physical handling of a child is something we will only do as a final resort, and will only ever be carried out by a trained member of staff. In the event that positive handling is required, parents will always be informed.
More guidance on positive handling is available as part of our Behaviour Policy which can be found here: Key Policies
