World Book Day
What a fantastic, jammed packed World Book Day we've had at CTK today.
Award winning author and illustrator, Karen George, came to visit and was kind enough to accompany the children to Filwood Community Centre for a special assembly around the new Children's Library that Year 4 have had a hand in designing!
Karen also teamed up with Miss Garrett to Judge our 'Design a Book Cover' competition, for which we had an overwhelming number of entries...we will let you know the lucky winners next week!!
Lent Fundraising
Friday 15th March - Penny Trail
We are asking pupils to bring in change in order to create a huge penny trail around the school playground.
Friday 22th March - Break the Rules Day
Children have the chance to break some of our school rules!! More details to follow!
Thursday 28th March - Easter Egg Raffle
Morning Drop-Off
Please can parents be reminded that under no circumstances should parents be stopping in the middle of the round to allow children to get out of the car and come in to school (including when dropping children off at Breakfast Club).
The section of Hartcliffe Road directly outside of school is a No Stopping Zone, and there is signage that states this. It is extremely dangerous to allow children to get out of the car into the middle of the road.
We have noted a number of parents that have been doing this on a regular basis. Please be advised that should this problem persist, registration details may be passed to our local police station.
Thank you for your co-operation with this matter.
Ghanaian Independance Day
Earlier this week, Wednesday 6th March, it was Ghanaian Independance Day.
On Monday 11th March, a group of Year 6 pupils will be giving a presentation on Ghana and it's independance during assembly. We have many Ghanaian families here at CTK and we would love for everyone to join us for assembly at 2.40pm to help celebrate their country and culture.
Collecting Children from After School Clubs
Depending on the booking, after school clubs will either finish at 4.00pm or 4.30pm and we would like to remind parents of the importance of collecting children on time.
We have recently noticed an increase in parents arriving late to collect children. Please be aware that if late collection becomes a recurring issue, parents may be charged.
Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
