World Book Day
We will be celebrating World Book Day on Friday 8th March.
Children are welcome to come into school dressed as their favourite book character, however this is optional and children will not be expected to be in fancy dress if they would prefer not to.
This year's World Book Day will be extra special for two very exciting reasons...
During the afternoon, children will be visiting Filwood Community Centre for a special assembly about the new Library that is being designed as part of the regeneration project. This will be an exciting opportunity to see their own plans coming to life!!
Author, Illustrator, and friend of the school Karen George will be back at CTK once again to help Miss Garrett judge our 'Design a Book Cover' competition. This will be especially exciting as Karen has just won ANOTHER award for her book 'You're So Amazing' - it's always a pleasure to have a literary and artistic hero join us to help inspire our children!
Lent Fundraising
As you know, we kicked off our Lent fundraising today with CRAZY HAIR DAY!!
We had fantastic up do's, down do's, dye jobs, wigs and even some SCULPTURAL MASTERPIECES!!
A big thank you to parents for going all out on the hairspray this morning, and to everyone for their generous donations!
We will be running a different activity every Friday until the end of term:
4th -8th March - Easter Colouring
Friday 15th March - Penny Trail
We are asking pupils to bring in change in order to create a huge penny trail around the school playground.
Friday 22th March - Break the Rules Day
Children have the chance to break some of our school rules!! More details to follow!
Thursday 28th March - Easter Egg Raffle
Wrap Around Childcare
As you know, we currently offer wrap-around childcare to parents through Breakfast Club and Chill Time Klub. This means the school is open to children from 8am - 4.30pm for those that need the additional time.
We have been asked by Bristol City Council to share the following survey with parents so they can evaluate the demand for wrap-around care across the city.

Please complete the survey by Friday 8th March.

Curriculum Overviews
As you may be aware, our website provides a whole host of information on the subjects we teach as well as what your children are learning, and when.
