Reading Success

During the Summer, a number of children took part in the Bristol Libraries Summer Reading Challenge.

Last Friday, we were visited by Author and Illustrator Karen George, who presented the children with their prizes for completing the challenge.

Congratulations to all of the children that took part, and a big thank you to Karen who not only presented the prizes, but also donated some copies of her new book to our school library!

Feast of Christ the King

The Feast of Christ the King is a Catholic celebration that takes place on the last Sunday of the liturgical year in the Catholic faith.

It is a way to recognise Jesus Christ as the 'King of Kings' and honour him as Lord over all creation.

Thank you to all the friends and family that attended ourFeast of Christ the King Mass at the Church earlier this week. It was lovely to have so many of you joining us.

Our next whole school mass will be Epiphany Mass on Friday 5th January 2024. All families and friends of CTK are welcome to join us.

After School Clubs - Friday 15th December

Please be aware that there will be NO AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS (INCLUDING CHILL TIME) on Friday 15th December. This is our last day of term before the Christmas break and all children will need to be collected at the end of the school day at 3.20pm

School Photographs

Pupil photographs should be returned to us by Tuesday 5th December at the very latest in order to be returned to you before the Christmas Break.

Winter Illness

As is usual for this time of year, there are lots of bugs going around - if you are unsure whether your child is well enough to attend school, visit our support page 'If my child is unwell' for guidance on common childhood illness.

Holidays during term time - SATS WEEK 13th - 17th May 2024

As you are aware, we always request that families do not take time off for holidays during term time and this is especially important for children in Year 6 during SATs week. This year, SATs week will take place from Monday 13th May - Friday 17th May 2024.

Guidance from the Department for Education states that children will only have the opportunity to retake their SATs tests if they have been absent due to exceptional circumstances - this does not include holidays. Please ensure holidays are not booked during this week.
